The Finance Manager supports the Chief Financial Officer and the Finance team, as well as other Senior Management personnel, by performing all financial reporting for JGMS and joint venture small businesses. The responsibilities for all areas relating to financial processes include, but are not limited to: adhering to sound accounting principles, utilizing practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements, and performing all month- and year-end reconciliations for governmental reporting. This position will perform a multitude of finance activities and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while taking the initiative to learn new systems. Work requires a high level of discretion and handling of confidential information and significant matters. Responsibilities:
*Assists Deputy Controller daily as needed with all Company financial projects.
Obtains, maintains thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
Prepares correspondence, reports, and other financial and accounting documents. Uses discretion in handling information of a sensitive or confidential nature.
Supports, mentors and assists when needed with the process of A/P, A/R and Payroll personnel. Will serve as the point of contact for problem solving in these areas.
Conducts detailed analysis, including job costing, and prepare financial reports for the CFOs of joint venture partner companies.
Performs month-end and year-end close out tasks, including all General Ledger entries, reconciliations and financial reporting.
Maintains accurate and upto-date records of all assets.
Serves as backup support for any financial position, including Accounts Receivable Clerk, Accounts Payable Clerk, and Payroll Administrator, which will require the ability to learn and follow all position SOPs with accuracy and efficiency.
Creates, organizes, and maintains administrative files, project binders, and office records for the Chief Financial Officer.
Assists Deputy Controller with the review, update, and approval process of all financial SOPs.
Conducts research and performs analysis on ad-hoc requests from Chief Financial Officer`.
Supports the Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Controller in the completion of fiscal year budgets and annual audits.
Performs other related duties, as assigned. This will include, at times, administrative, clerical, and other unforeseen tasks.
Must be able to work with a diverse team of individuals.
